Cognitive Displaysia is perfect for me. I forget things. I know I forget things. I know I will continue to forget things. Since you can see the gap in my blogs, it may be obvious to you all that I also forgot that I have one. So, it's not terribly concerning when it happens. Repeatedly. It is, however, annoying.<br /><br />Given the Cognitive Displaysia that has become such a routine part of my life, I've decided to let you all know what I will be forgetting in the forseeable future. Bethany, I will forget to give your mom the recipe cards for you at least once or twice more. That will make it a nice round half dozen times I will have forgotten. That is, of course, in addition to the 3 or 4 times that I've forgotten to send them to you myself. Matt, I will forget your birthday in September, but hope to remember to send you a card by Thanksgiving. Ditto for your birthday in October, Brad. I know there are things I am supposed to bring to LC next week, Myra, but I can't for the life of me remember what any of them are. Email me if you remember any of them! LOL! Tim, I will most likely forget to bring Jason's guitar to you for a couple of months, so don't get too excited just yet.<br /><br />And speaking of Jason... he is having a blast in Wyoming and is planning to bring his new girlfriend, Jessie, here for Christmas. Seems Jason has found a great girl that can put up with him! I'm hoping all of you will join us here in Dallas too. Take this as your official invitation, because I will probably forget to actually invite any of you until it is too late to make plans to come. We discussed other names... really smart, sharp, punny... you know, the Dennis Miller kind of high intellect. I wish I could remember some of them. Sadly, I don't even have to leave the house to have Cognitive Displaysia.<br /><br />Anyway, this is my first post. When I've had some sleep, I'll write something intelligent. Maybe that's a stretch. Intelligent is a strong word. Don't want to set the expectations too high. I'll write something witty. No. My wit is at an all-time low lately. Maybe I should just stick with this... I'll blog later.
